A Message from the President

Over the past twenty-three years, our company has added and deleted product lines to keep up with the demands of our customers.  One factor has been consistent, however:  we always insist on the unsurpassed quality of our products.  This has presented us with an interesting set of challenges.  Many of our customers are State and Federal Government agencies, which generally require multiple bids.  If the contracting officer does not differentiate between quality levels, the lowest bidder will win the award.  Yet we have consistently proven that our products will outperform and outlast those of our competitors, resulting in better value to our customers.  We are pleased to note that recent Federal legislation has granted sole-source and set-aside authority to contracting officers when working with SDVOBs.  We strongly encourage them to avail themselves of these provisions.  We are also working with legislators in the State of California to revisit the laws governing the DVBE program, in order to streamline the process and to more closely align it with the Federal model.
